MCF Climate Prize

Are you a University of Melbourne Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Philosophy candidate whose thesis research addresses the climate crisis?

To mark five years since MCF’s establishment, we're holding a University-wide competition showcasing early-career researchers and their theses: the MCF Climate Prize.

The MCF Climate Prize is your opportunity to step into the spotlight and share your research with University leaders, researchers and partners.

Express your interest in the MCF Climate Prize to your point of contact, who will select one entrant to represent your faculty.

Deliver a four-minute summary of your research and its impact at the MCF@5 anniversary event, fostering real-time knowledge-sharing and discussion. Be bold, be creative, and be concise.

One nominee from each faculty will be selected to compete in the final at the Melbourne Climate Futures anniversary event at Melbourne Connect on 31 July.

The winner will receive an indulgent writer’s retreat set in nature to help them with their thesis-writing journey.
