How can I get funding for my educational media?
Teaching teams from all faculties can access budget allocations for professional support from Video and Media to make educational videos, podcasts, documentaries, 360 tours and more. These are called Faculty Media Allocations. This is how it works:
- Got an idea for media that will benefit your students? Get in touch with Video and Media to discuss your project.
- We can meet with you, develop proposals, and submit them to your faculty for approval.
- If your project is approved for funding, you will be assigned with a media producer and a quarterly production time frame to get it made.
What if I need media solutions right now?
As part of the Faculty Media Alllocation, all faculties have access to free services and facilities on Parkville campus for you to upskill, make slides, lectures, videos and podcasts quickly and independently, with a little added support from us.

Our media production happens in quarters:
- Q1 - January to March
- Q2 - April - June
- Q3 - July to September
- Q4 - October - December
We finalise our production calendar three weeks before a quarter begins, so be sure to book your production in early!
-
We are committed to delivering your project within the agreed timelines, but we rely on your timely involvement.
If both teams collaborate effectively and within the timelines, we will meet the established goals for the project.
However, if unforeseen delays occur due to factors outside our control, we will deliver everything that has been completed at the end of the production quarter.
Outstanding tasks will not be delivered outside the established production quarter.
