Our DIY studios are fully equipped video and audio recording spaces with everything you need to make more engaging content for your audience.

  • feel confident about your appearance on camera.
  • enjoy the process of connecting more effectively with your audience.
  • produce better-looking and engaging videos quickly, with our support.
  • be positive about your final result.

Before you get started

Please note that the DIY Studios are available for current staff members only. This includes students who are also current staff members. If you are a student only, check out this self-recording resource provided by the library.

How it works

Make a booking

First, make a booking. If you haven't used the DIY Studios before, please be sure to book yourself into an induction in the first instance.

Complete a free induction

Users must first complete a free and mandatory half-day training session to familiarise themselves with the space and equipment.

We will also offer pro tips on production techniques and effective presentation to camera.

Lights, camera, mic, action!

The DIY Studios are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and users can book two-hour sessions at a time.

Make a booking, then come in and work your magic.

You can locate the studios on the ground floor of Building 156, Old Geology South on Parkville campus.
