From zero skills to an international film-making journey
In 2025, Education Fellow Xiao Ma decided to document her trip to informal settlements in Bandung, Indonesia for her Urban Planning students. Xiao accessed one-on-one coaching with Video and Media to help her prepare for this ambitious project.
Cut to 2026, and Xiao has completed a documentary and is using it to teach her students, with interviews and footage from the ground to help improve their understanding of a complex urban environment.
