Leadership in Crisis

CDMPS held the first executive training program, 'Leadership in Crisis', in June 2017. The program highlights the areas that an organisation's leader and leadership team will need to be aware of and make decisions on. It also explores how leaders can prepare their organisation for crisis and what they need to do to ensure that their organisation survives after crisis.

The program was led by Robert Jensen; a crisis and risk management leader with more than 30 years of experience with the U.S. Government. Panel sessions were also held with Tony Pearce, the Inspector-General of Emergency Management (IGEM), and Euan Ferguson, former Chief Officer of the Country Fire Authority (CFA).

There were a number of attendees from Industry, Government (state and international) and academia with opportunity for PhD Candidates to attend. The course received great feedback and the Centre is working to hold a second training program in 2017.
