Community engagement

Each year we host a range of community events that promote science and showcase the Institute's research and industry engagement programs. We are also aligned with broader initiatives, both here and abroad, including participating in a range of biotechnology conferences both in Australia and overseas.

Big Picture Seminar

The Bio21 Big Picture Seminar is a platform for a high-level speaker to provide a big-picture overview of their discipline and beyond, to reflect on the developments in the field, how they intersect with other disciplines and the implications for science and society.

We open up these lectures to a broad science-interested audience that may include researchers within the Institute, the University and precinct, but also alumni, school students and the general public.
