About

Established in 1989, the University of Melbourne Malaysia Alumni Association remains an active and vibrant community, successful in fostering bonds of fraternity among Malaysian graduates. The association is strengthened by its multi-dimensional diversity – diverse cultural backgrounds, professional disciplines, personal interests and age groups.

The association also provides a way for alumni to help each other as well as prospective students, current students, and young alumni who seek guidance in pursuing their education and starting their career.

Yun-Han Lee, President

Yun-Han graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance. Yun-Han is a director at Deloitte Consulting with 17 years of experience in human capital consulting. Yun-Han is also a member of the University of Melbourne Alumni Council, advising the University on international alumni and student engagement.

Phillip Tan, Vice-President

Phil completed his Bachelor of Environments in 2013 and his Master of Construction Management majoring in Quantity Surveying in 2015. He currently works at Perunding Kos T&K and is an industry leader with BIM adoption in the Malaysian construction industry. Phil loves coffee, drinks and sports.

Lisa Teo, Secretary

Lisa graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1998 with a double degree – a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law. Lisa practised as a lawyer in Kuala Lumpur for a few years before becoming an artist, art therapist and art teacher. Her particular interest is in creating oil and acrylic paintings, inspired by nature and her travels, that tell the story of her life journey.

Naufal Shukri, Treasurer

After studying chemistry at the University of Melbourne, Naufal returned home to Malaysia for a stint in the flexible film manufacturing industry. Seeking a new challenge to grow his skill set in a completely different environment, Naufal joined Robert Walters as a specialist recruiter for the supply chain and engineering team in June 2021.
