We are a community of University of Melbourne alumni connected by a shared appreciation for Chinese culture and heritage. Our mission is to foster belonging, cultural exchange, and meaningful connections across disciplines, generations, and geographies.
Our network includes:
- UoM alumni with Chinese cultural backgrounds
- Speakers of Mandarin, Cantonese, or other Chinese dialects
- Individuals from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, and the wider Chinese diaspora
- Anyone who identifies with or values Chinese language and culture
- We celebrate both shared roots and diverse experiences—welcoming all who wish to connect through community and culture.

Committee
Doris Wu - National President
Doris is a strategic commercial lead known for driving growth through data-informed decisions. With over nine years of experience across FMCG and SaaS, she is currently Head of Supplier at EstimateOne, leading commercial strategy, pricing, and go-to-market initiatives. She holds a Master of Management (Finance) from the University of Melbourne (2015). Passionate about community, Doris has served the University’s alumni community as Vice President of the Young Alumni Committee and on the Centenary Committee since 2020, and founded the UniMelb Chinese Alumni Network in 2024.
Eason Zhang - Treasurer
Eason is the founder of Cyan Accounting & Advisory, a boutique firm providing tailored and practical accounting solutions. Before founding Cyan, he gained over seven years of experience in commercial and public practice, specialising in taxation and business advisory. He graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2014 and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). Eason is passionate about supporting clients through every stage of their business journey.
Yifei Wang - Vice-President (STEM)
Yifei is the Founder and CEO of AIBUILD, an AI consulting and technology company based in Melbourne. He has extensive experience across artificial intelligence, R&D commercialisation, and digital transformation. Yifei graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Information Technology in 2017 and now teaches AI and entrepreneurship, receiving the FEIT Teaching Excellence Award in 2024. He has also led multiple government-funded innovation projects across sectors including aged care, infrastructure, and education.
Vivian Zhou - Local Chapter President (Sydney)
Vivian serves as Vice President of the UniMelb Sydney Alumni Association. She is a global traveller and founder of Journey Beyond the South, an organization that supports business students and professionals in building international careers. Her firm provides language training, overseas education, career consulting, immigration, and property services across six countries.
Prior to this, Vivian spent five years building her career at Big Four accounting firms (2019–2024), progressing from Assurance Graduate in 2019 to Deal Advisory Manager in 2022. She is also a Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ).
Yingying Zheng - Partnerships Lead
Yingying is a Director at Eternahome, a company delivering high-end joinery and natural marble solutions across major Australian cities. Eternahome focuses on making luxury home design accessible through quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship. Yingying is passionate about design that stands the test of time and enhancing living spaces with elegant, sustainable solutions. She actively engages with alumni networks to support professional growth and connection.
Zoy Zhong - Event and Engagement Lead
Zoy is studying Computer Science at the University of Melbourne and is passionate about connecting people through engaging events. She also runs her own international trade business, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit. Outside her studies, she enjoys camping and golf, reflecting her love for the outdoors. Zoy is dedicated to building a vibrant, inclusive alumni community for current students and young graduates.
Polly Leng - Secretary
Polly is a CFA Charterholder and Manager in the valuation team at a Big Four accounting firm. She brings a unique blend of experience across strategy consulting and valuation, advising clients on business and asset valuation, growth strategies, and commercial due diligence. Polly leads the alumni badminton group, fostering connections and community through sport. She is passionate about creating spaces where alumni can stay active and build lasting friendships.
Kenny Hou - Tech Lead
Kenny is a data analyst in healthcare, supporting digital transformation and data-driven decision-making. He started his career at a Big Four firm in AI and data analytics after graduating from the University of Melbourne with a Master’s in IT in 2018. Before moving into IT, he studied and worked in civil engineering in China and the US. Outside of work, Kenny enjoys tennis, running, badminton, and staying active, and leads the alumni tennis group to bring members together through sport.
Yuna Lu - Marketing Lead
Yuna is a VIT-registered early childhood teacher who graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) in 2021.She is passionate about supporting young children’s development through child-centred practice and strong relationship building, creating nurturing environments where children feel confident, curious and connected.
Before moving into education, Yuna studied journalism in China, bringing communication and storytelling skills into both her teaching and community work. Yuna enjoys hiking and exploring nature, and leads the alumni hiking group to foster connection through shared outdoor experiences.
