Open Classrooms keeps growing
New subjects are coming in March 2026.
Open Classrooms continues to expand, with new subjects scheduled for release in March 2026., bringing even more real-world examples of high-quality subject design for you to explore, adapt, and reuse.
As with previous releases, these subjects are shared as inviting, adaptable models that can support small, high-impact improvements in your own teaching practice.
Coming in March
- Urban Sustainability and Climate Change (ABP)
- Introduction to High Performing Design (ABP)
- Epistemology 1 (MDHS)
- Deafness and Communication (EDU)
From great subjects to a connected ecosystem of support
This next phase of Open Classrooms focuses on stronger connections between subjects, templates, examples, and support resources. The aim is to make it easier to move from “that’s a great idea” to “I can adapt that this week”.
When you explore an Open Classrooms subject, the intent is not only to see the learning journey as students experienced it. It is also to access guided design prompts that point to reusable examples and downloadable resources you can adapt.
Over 2026, we will keep building a clearer pathway from each showcased subject into:
- Reusable LMS templates, such as pages, module structures, and assessment patterns
- Concrete examples of what good looks like in context
- Short, practical support resources, such as quick guides and how-tos that help you implement the pattern
- Supported ways to explore as a group, including facilitated sessions for schools, faculties, and communities of practice
Help shape what comes next: peer review and professional development
To keep Open Classrooms useful and relevant, we are looking to academics across faculties to help shape the future of the initiative. In particular, we want to align Open Classrooms with peer review and professional development.
This could include using Open Classrooms subjects as shared reference points in peer review discussions about design choices. It could also include supported exploration sessions that translate strong practice into reusable templates and practical actions.
If you have ideas, big or small, about what would help you most we would love to hear from you.
