Tim Brabazon holds the position of Director, Student Success at The University of Melbourne, and is responsible for the leadership, direction, and delivery of a range of advisory, enabling, and general support services to the University’s 70,000+ students, as well as range of services for members of staff and the wider university community.

This includes a focus on students’ experience of global learning, careers and employability, as well as an expanding suite of paid student-employment and volunteering opportunities. Tim’s portfolio also includes a range of large-scale mentoring and co-curricular programs, orientation, induction, and enrichment events, as well as Early Childhood Education Services, Campus Community, the Safer Community Program, and Food Relief – including the recently launched Campus Canteen service for students.

Prior to this role Tim was the School Executive Director of the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, during which time it rose to become Australia’s #1 school of education, and was ranked as high as #2 globally, making it the leading faculty of any discipline in Australia on that measure (QS World University Rankings by Subject).

Tim has also worked internationally, having been based in Bangkok, Thailand for a number of years prior to joining the University of Melbourne in 2006.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of International Business from The University of Canberra.
