Responsible use of GenAI at the University

The University has developed a decision-making tool to help staff navigate the University’s policies when considering using generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools in the course of their work.

Note that this tool provides general advice on the risks to be considered in using GenAI for common task types University staff may perform. It does not replace advice for specialised research or teaching and learning purposes and staff should make sure to refer to other relevant advice for these activities.

Staff are encouraged to use this tool to support their understanding and compliance with University policies.
