Overview

Developing a ‘Teaching teamwork skills matrix’ a tool that helps teaching staff implement strategies that guide and scaffold students into working in teams.

Tool to be based on Shannon Rios (FEIT TLL) framework that articulates the skills students develop across seven dimensions including: adaptability, feedback, communication, coordination, collectivism, leadership, empathy. These are mapped across a typical four-year program.

Actions/activities

A tool that contains a variety of activities supporting the framework that can be incorporated into a STEM subject with lesson plan guides and further resources.

Outcomes/impact

Improved staff confidence in teaching teamwork, improved student teamwork skills.
