Overview

Faculty of Science hosted a learning and teaching day, a chance for staff to share practice , ask questions of their leadership via a panel, and participate in workshops.

Actions/activities

The Teaching and Learning Innovation team co-developed a 1.5 hour workshop on “managing system-wide influences on assessment” and “programmatically securing assessment”, facilitating 50 participants (40 in-person, 10 online) in a series of discussions.

The Teaching and Learning Innovation team also supported the day in practical ways such as setting up room with Science team, and taking photos and summaries of session for the Science learning and teaching community of practice Teams site.

Outcomes/impact

  • Increased alignment of AI activities with the teaching and assessment cycle.
  • Enhanced learner engagement and critical analysis skills through innovative AI applications.
  • Improved interdisciplinary collaboration and professional relevance by addressing real-world challenges in AI use.
  • Strengthened integration of AI-focused resources into the Faculty's LMS, supporting long-term educational innovation.
