Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Pilot Program

The PASS Program will return in Semester 1 2026 for another year of supporting first year undergraduate students.

The university-wide PASS Program will return in Semester 1, 2026, for another year of supporting first-year undergraduate students in supported subjects in their transition to university. These peer-led study sessions are scheduled weekly throughout the semester and offer a unique and valued learning experience. While the agenda of sessions is aligned with the topics of the formal subject delivery, PASS Leaders design and facilitate their sessions to respond explicitly to participants' learning needs.

After a successful launch of the program in 2025, this year will see an increase in subjects supported by the program. A total of 32 subjects across Semesters 1 and 2 will include PASS as a voluntary opportunity for enrolled students, an increase from 20 subjects supported in 2025.

The program will again be delivered in parallel with the established Architecture, Building and Planning (ABP) PASS program. A full list of subjects supported is available on the Academic Skills PASS Program website.

The program will be joined by 19 new and enthusiastic PASS Leaders to complement the returning 24 PASS Leaders who will bring valuable experience to their roles in 2026.
