Chinese Music Ensemble in performance

The ‘Chinese Music Ensemble’ is a twelve-week breadth subject, offered each semester to undergraduate students from all faculties, introducing students to traditional Chinese instruments, and to repertoire that includes traditional, folk, and contemporary Chinese music. Students enrolled in the subject in Semester 1 2021, participated in a public performance of highlights from this semester’s repertoire, led by Dr Wang Zheng-Ting, Director of the Ensemble and world-renowned Sheng musician.

The concert took place the Multivocal exhibition space, and was a powerful opportunity for students to share their growing skills and build their confidence in performance.
