The University of Melbourne Guangdong Alumni Association (UOMGAA) was founded in 2013 as an informal alumni group, led by Mr. Junhao Zhang. In 2017, the group became officially affiliated with the University of Melbourne as the Guangdong Alumni Network. In 2023, it was upgraded to the Guangdong Alumni Association. Over the course of a decade, the group has grown from 8 members to establishing connections with thousands of alumni residing in South China. The Guangdong Alumni Association is committed to creating a robust social platform for alumni in the region. Each year, the Association organises various events to meet alumni's needs in business collaborations, career development, life planning, and social networking. Executive Committee

Junhao

Junhao Zhang, Founder and President

Junhao Zhang has many years of work experience in the finance, consulting, and internet industries. He has successively worked at China International Capital Corporation (CICC), McKinsey, and Tencent. He is familiar with the fields of investment, corporate management, strategic planning, and business analysis.

Junhao received a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Melbourne and a Master of Economics from The University of Hong Kong. He is a CFA,FRM and CIIA holder.

Chunfeng

Chunfeng Liao, Vice-President (Guangzhou)

Chunfeng graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Marketing Communication degree in 2016. During his studies, he undertook an exchange program and was the recipient of the Universitas 21 scholarships. He has years of experience in Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain industry. He worked at two Artificial Intelligence-related listed companies and is now working at a state-owned company which dedicates in government's digital transformation. He is familiar with B2B and B2G marketing.

Chunfeng is a APSI Level2 Snowboard Instructor, marathon finisher and a guitarist.

Weiwei

Weiwei Lin, Vice-President (Shenzhen)

Weiwei previously worked as an auditor in a local accounting firm in Melbourne. She entered the filed of education after returning China a few years ago. She is currently the Director at Key Raiser Education which collaborates with local governments and schools to innovate and internationalise their curriculum, where she leads corporate strategy, business development and project management.

Weiwei holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Melbourne. She is the deputy secretary of Shenzhen Youth Science and Technology Education Association. She is passionate about volunteer work, travel and yoga.

Shuyu

Shuyu Chen, Secretary and Chief Design Officer

Shuyu Chen has experience in accounting, consulting, and fine arts. She has worked in Farrago as an illustrator for over four years and was a busker in the City of Melbourne. She is now working at PwC as a digital consultant, familiar with digital transformation, financial system design, and business analysis.

Shuyu holds Master of Information Systems and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Melbourne. She is a member of CPA Australia.
