Deborah is a secondary school teacher with the Victorian Department of Education, and a youth advocate. Passionate about facilitating environments and experiences in which young people learn and thrive, Deborah possesses a deep insight into educational theory, research and practice.
In addition to her role as an educator, Deborah has served as the National President of the Australia-China Youth Association and is the current Operations Executive at CHASE (Community Health Advancement and Student Engagement), a Melbourne-based not-for-profit which seeks to empower students through health literacy.
Deborah completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Melbourne and is excited to remain connected to the institution’s vast and diverse alumni network through her position on the Council.
