Tamara is in her final year of a Bachelor of Science, majoring in environmental science and sustainability. She grew up in Singapore, and it still shapes how she sees the world.

By day, she is a climate transition analyst building greenhouse gas inventories and ESG reports. She loves the work, but it's a different kind of sustainability from what she wants to explore through Wattle.

Moving to Melbourne showed Tamara how disconnected she'd become from her Peranakan roots, and how much food had held that connection. In the Fellowship, she wants to explore whether food can do the same for others, bringing people together and opening up conversations that might otherwise feel out of reach.

In a previous life, Tamara was an elite artistic gymnast who won team gold for Singapore at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games. Now she's taking a swing at golf, with mixed success and the occasional rage quitting moment.
