Pornpan (Bow) is an Australia Awards scholar from Thailand, studying a Master of Agricultural Sciences specialising in food sustainability. She is passionate about building resilient food systems that benefit both people and the planet.

Back home, Bow founded Farm Forward, which connects consumers with local producers through events and online platforms. It was funded by the US government's Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI). Inspired by the belief that "luck begins in the gut", she also founded Gut Luck, which explores fermentation, native plants and food traditions.

As a Wattle Fellow, she is scaling up this work. She wants to show how food, drink and fermentation can reconnect communities with Indigenous knowledge and native plants, strengthening food security and resilience.

In her free time, Bow volunteers in The Community Grocer's community garden and explores local markets.
