Olive Mboya (she/her)

Olive is studying a Bachelor of Engineering, majoring in architectural engineering, at Victoria University. She came to Naarm, Melbourne from Kenya. She wants sustainable, people-centred solutions that improve how communities live in and shape the built environment. For her, sustainability is as much about people and access to opportunity as it is about the environment.

Olive is an Engineers Australia student ambassador and a student club leader. Through women in STEM initiatives, she helps students feel connected, supported and confident in finding their place in the sciences.

Through Wattle, she wants to develop a project that brings together sustainability, community and access, and creates meaningful opportunities for others.

Outside university, Olive hits the gym, performs and conducts music, and is always up for a good conversation with people from different backgrounds.
