Lucas Symes (he/him)

Lucas is a business management student at La Trobe University and works as a development coordinator at Development Victoria. He is driven by one question: what would it take to let water flow through our cities as it did before colonisation?

He focuses on water and flood management, and on how we have engineered ourselves away from many of nature’s own solutions.

Through Wattle, Lucas wants to build the skills and networks to work in sustainable development, and contribute to a different way of building and caring for Country.

Outside study and work, he enjoys sport, fishing and cooking.
