Imogen Kerr (she/her)
Master of Social Work
Imogen is from Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) and Jinibara Country on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, and now calls Naarm, Melbourne home. She is completing a Master of Social Work, after studying marketing, communications and visual arts. She wants to know how the arts can help people engage with the emotional and social side of the climate crisis.
Imogen paints with watercolours she makes herself, using brushes made from the trimmed tails of her family's horses. She has recently been exploring tapestries. She founded The Granny Square Project, a network of crocheters who make blankets and scarves for people who feel the cold acutely. She also works in not-for-profit communications.
As a Wattle Fellow, she wants to sharpen her facilitation skills and turn her care for people and planet into advocacy.
In her spare time, she can be found hunting down Naarm’s best almond croissants or hiking with friends.
