Daniel Amenuvor (he/him)
Doctor of Philosophy - Architecture, Building and Planning
Daniel is a doctoral researcher in urban planning at the Melbourne School of Design. He studies how industrial development shapes communities and places, focusing on industrial parks and their spatial impacts in Ghana. He cares most about turning research into practical outcomes for the communities it concerns.
He wants to use his knowledge, experience and relationships to build more inclusive, sustainable communities. He favours participatory approaches, where the people most affected help design the solutions rather than have them handed down.
In the Fellowship, Daniel is moving from understanding these problems to acting on them. His aim is a project that is genuinely useful to the communities it serves, not one confined to the page.
Away from research, Daniel is happiest connecting with people across disciplines and swapping ideas about how cities and communities change.
