Annie Zeleznikow (she/her)

Doctor of Philosophy (Integrated)

Annie has spent her working life supporting young people in need. She started as a foster care case manager and now works as a youth worker at a homeless youth refuge. Her PhD at Victoria University grew out of that work and investigates enduring cultural connection in out-of-home care.

She completed her Master of Social Work at Yeshiva University in New York. Wherever she has worked, she has built what was missing. One example is a group program she created from scratch to help children name their feelings.

In the Fellowship, Annie wants to integrate sustainability outcomes alongside supporting young people to move into stable, lasting housing. Her goal is to turn her care for individuals into change across the system that holds them.

Outside work and study, Annie is an enthusiastic theatregoer who often reviews shows online.
