Yee Zhao (he/him)

Yee is studying for a Bachelor of Agriculture, majoring in Plant & Soil Science. He desires a career that fosters a strong community of people and makes an impactful change. Working in the agricultural industry has provided him with exactly that opportunity.

Currently, Yee works as a lab technician at the large horticulture company Australian Growing Solutions, developing and delivering sustainability focused products to market and innovative solutions to current issues in Agriculture. He also provides small-scale consulting for farms across Victoria, changing their processes to be more profitable and sustainable.

More recently, Yee co-founded and leads an AgTech startup focused around bringing Aeroponics into residential households, to promote community, nutrition, and sustainability. He also enjoys leading teams as a firefighter and helping run programs that bring more young people into Agriculture.

In his spare time, Yee’s hobbies include snowboarding, spearfishing, watching the footy (avid Doggies supporter), and growing plants and being involved with startups.
