Madina Rassulova (she/her)
Master of Environment
Madina is an animal rights advocate, climate activist, and conscious influencer pursuing a Master of Environment at Unimelb. Through the Fellowship, she aims to deepen her understanding of the intersection between the food crisis, climate change, and social enterprise.
Madina began her career as a social media expert, gaining 100,000 followers while studying in the US and UK. During a summer internship, she launched a wellness startup in Singapore and managed marketing campaigns for startups and big corporations, then worked for Microsoft as a Program Manager. Her passion for sustainability led her to co-author a book highlighting the environmental and health impacts of Central Asian diets, and organise sustainability events in collaboration with Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Ecology.
Now, besides studying full time and building a project through Wattle, she educates her followers on conscious living, offers plant-based diet consultations as a certified nutritionist and enjoys creating new recipes for her cookbook series. Her work often integrates the Kazakh nomadic heritage, helping people reconnect with their cultural roots while adopting modern sustainable practices.
