Harry Crothers-Bade (he/him)
Master of Urban Planning
Harry is pursuing a Master of Urban Planning and brings experience from various roles in the property sector. Driven by a passion for how the built environment can prioritise both people and planet, Harry returned to study to explore how these industries can centre sustainability in their decision-making. He is also particularly interested in the possibilities for integrating nature into urban environments, recognising its role in climate resilience, biodiversity, and urban happiness.
One of Harry’s career highlights has been managing the transformation of a historic substation into transitional accommodation for people experiencing homelessness in Melbourne’s CBD. Now, through the Wattle Fellowship, he is exploring how innovative project design and delivery strategies can create impactful, long-term sustainability outcomes.
Though he loves the vibrancy of the city, by Friday afternoon Harry is generally ready to escape urban life and search for adventures in the mountains, bush or coast.
