Frankey is studying a Master of Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing, driven by a desire to challenge narratives of human dominance over nature. Through Wattle, he hopes to explore how we can reshape our relationship with the natural world and acknowledge the perspectives of all beings, from birds and trees to buildings and rubbish bins.

His career spans multiple fields, having completed degrees in commerce and law. He has worked to improve telecommunications access in underserved communities, provided pro bono legal advice to the disadvantaged, and contributed to the development of frameworks for the investigation of child abuse in Victoria.

More recently, Frankey has turned his attention to the creative arts. His writing is featured in various publications, including Liminal, Portside Review, Antithesis, i-D, and Be:longing. He also enjoys sculpting animal habitats, and photographing animals and plants.

Beyond creative endeavours, Frankey is a keen gardener, delights in roaming galleries and parks, and enjoys salvaging discarded furniture from upper-class nature strips.
