Claudia Tedjasaputra (she/her)

Claudia is studying a Bachelor of Science with a specialisation in Conservation and Ecosystems. She is driven by her passion for harnessing food systems and regenerative agriculture to build sustainable, climate-resilient communities, with a particular interest in the South East Asia region.

Through the Wattle Fellowship, she aims to deepen her interest in blending creative and evidence-based storytelling, using photojournalism to highlight untold stories in food systems and ocean conservation.

Her experiences in supporting the creation of the Coral Triangle Conservation Fund at WWF, conducting SEA agricultural pest research at the NUS Reproductive Evolution Lab and leading UniMelb’s Alternative Protein initiative continue to fuel her passion for sustainable food systems and marine conservation. Currently, Claudia leads University of Melbourne programs that enhance nutrition and sustainable food literacy, such as zero-waste cooking workshops and the community garden program.

As a research assistant at the Melbourne Centre for Cities, she also supports publications on global city innovation.
In her free time, she is either trail running, capturing wildlife photography or exploring new snorkelling spots. She is biased towards snorkelling spots with nudibranchs!
