Charlie Turner (she/her)

Charlie is a climate and sustainability risk governance lawyer. Having started her career off as a litigation lawyer, Charlie redirected her legal career in order to use professional skills to help with the climate and biodiversity crises.

As well as providing specialist ESG advice to clients, a key part of her role is capacity building other lawyers as to how ESG issues impact all legal practice areas. Charlie's commitment to active leadership on global sustainability led her to join the Wattle Fellowship. Through this program, she strives to deliver maximum impact through her legal practice. Her action project within the fellowship focuses on raising awareness of climate-related issues and advocating for their integration into all legal subjects, not just stand-alone electives.

To complement her work, Charlie is currently studying a Masters of Environment part-time.

Originally from Manchester, Charlie has called Melbourne home for almost a decade where she lives with her partner Tom and two-year-old identical twin daughters called Lennie and Dyllan.
