Learn how to think like a film maker and set up a successful self-recording with a smart phone device.

This workshop is facilitated by Pru Burns, Media Coaching Coordinator for the Video and Media team in Teaching and Learning Innovation.

Recording your own content with a smart phone device can be challenging.  The key is having good knowledge of your tech and applying your knowledge with a film maker’s eye.

In this DIY workshop, we will take you through the steps required to set up a successful self-recording with a smart phone device.  We will cover essential equipment requirements and show you some film making hacks for lighting and camera stabilisation.

We will get you to re-imagine your location through the eyes of a studio set designer and provide you with some hints and tips on presenting that will increase the production value of your content.
