Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital announces new ownership

Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital (GVEH), a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Melbourne, is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached for the sale of the practice to Apiam Animal Health. The sale is expected to be completed at the end of this month.

Apiam is a leading Australian veterinary and animal health group providing care and support for companion animals, equine and livestock. The organisation comprises approximately 78 business sites, including approximately 73 veterinary clinics, and 332 veterinarians, supported by a team of approximately 1,219 dedicated professionals.

The sale marks an important and positive new chapter for GVEH and reflects a shared commitment to ensuring the continued delivery of specialist equine veterinary services to horse owners, breeders, trainers and referring veterinarians across the region.

Importantly, it remains business as usual for clients and patients throughout the transition period. GVEH will continue to provide the high standard of veterinary care, emergency services, specialist expertise and client support that the equine community has come to expect.

As part of the transition, all current GVEH employees will be offered roles with Apiam Animal Health.

The existing team remains focused on delivering exceptional patient care, and there will be no interruption to veterinary services, appointments or hospital operations as settlement approaches.
