What's Involved

Get exposure to key entrepreneurial skills and frameworks through our Bootcamp and Incubation Funding Program, designed to support you and your idea.

InnovatEd brings together opportunities to learn about the innovation process itself, access to the resources to progress your innovation or project and offers professional development, funding, mentoring, networking and support from Chancellery, Learning Environments, Academic Divisions, the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre (MEC) and industry.

InnovateEd Bootcamp

The InnovatEd Bootcamp is delivered for free for Melbourne University staff, students and recently graduated Alumni. It’s a chance to roll up your sleeves and learn fundamental entrepreneurial skills and frameworks.

In 2.5 intensive days, you can grow a project right from identifying problems or pain points at the University to developing, testing, and shaping your ideas into commercially viable solutions.

Over the course of the Bootcamp participants  have the opportunity to practice and refine a pitch to prepare for selection into the InnovatEd Incubation Funding Program.

The Bootcamp offers a unique opportunity to test your idea’s merit as you meet and connect with innovators and experts from across the University.

Incubation Funding Program

InnovatEd takes into account projects needs are different depending where in the innovation process they are. InnovatEd tailors support for projects over a 12 month incubation period.

  • bespoke project guidance and management
  • funding of up to $25,000 for up to four participating projects
  • connections to the wider Australian and international EdTech innovation community
