Honouring the memory of someone special
On behalf of the University of Melbourne, please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. We know that making arrangements to farewell a loved one can feel overwhelming. We are humbled and grateful that you are considering giving to the University of Melbourne as a way to commemorate the life of your loved one.
How to give in memory
Often people choose to commemorate the life of a loved one by asking for donations rather than flowers at the funeral or memorial service.
You can request a bespoke University of Melbourne donation webpage to honour your loved one. Along with the page URL, we will provide a QR code so friends and family can easily access the donation page at the service. You can also choose an area of the University to support – such as scholarships, our student emergency fund or research initiatives.
An acknowledgement letter will be sent to you within three weeks of the funeral date, detailing the amount raised towards your area of support.
To make the process as simple as possible during this difficult time, we have created the below form. We look forward to receiving your information and will respond at the earliest possible convenience, usually within two business days.
