Reanalysis and recontact: Establishing good practice

This forum provided an overview of issues pertaining to the reanalysis of patients’ medical data and patient recontact. There was a focus on how reanalysis and recontact are currently being implemented in genomics, with a view to establishing some principles of good practice. The discussion was led by a panel of experts, including Zornitza Stark, Heather Renton, Danya Vears, Catherine Quinlan and Grace Gaskell, and hosted by Mark Taylor.

The forum followed last year’s successful event ‘Taking a second look: reanalysis of a child’s previous medical test results’. Details of that event, including a recording, can be found here.
