Student views on GenAI

Incorporating student voice is key to the University’s approach to GenAI.

During 2024 and 2025 the University ran a student innovators program that supported students to share insights, provide feedback, stress-test new ideas or tools, and contribute their unique perspectives to how staff, senior leaders, and their fellow students are thinking about the many different dimensions of GenAI in education. From 2026, interested students can get involved via the Melbourne Student Forum and student clubs.
