Generative AI governance
The AI Steering Committee (AISC) provides strategic oversight of AI adoption across the University, ensuring that AI-related activities align with institutional priorities, are appropriately resourced, and managed in a safe and responsible way.
The AISC is chaired by the University’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and its members include senior executives representing research, education and operations. While the AISC provides executive oversight and strategic direction, the AI Working Group (AIWG) focuses on the coordination and implementation of AI enablement initiatives across the University, escalating risks and issues to AISC as they arise.
