Caleb Pollard

Caleb is currently undertaking a Masters of Education (Research) examining factors that influence literacy and numeracy scores of Urban and Rural Schools in the Solomon islands. He is also a Gold Medal recipient in Geography by the University of the South Pacific.

His main project goal in the Wattle Fellowship is to reconnect the relationship between humans and the environment through the education system.

During and after his undergraduate, Caleb continues to be a member of the Pacific Islands Students Fighting Climate Change (PISFCC) who have successfully campaigned in seeking an Advisory Opinion from the International Court of Justice (awaiting a December 2024 hearing). PISFCC also focuses on empowering and educating young people to take action, with Caleb having been a co-coordinator of an Ocean Sustainability Program for children in the Solomon Islands focusing on issues our ocean faces and how we can respond to that through education.

Apart from that, he loves soccer and ChelseaFC tends to determine his mood every new week!
