Internal activities and other events

Birrarung Wilam Walk

Staff and students from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology are invited to join us for an immersive off-campus tour of the Birrarung Wilam Walk. Discover the vibrant Aboriginal history of Birrarung Marr and gain a deeper understanding of the Kulin Nation.

Dhoombak Goobgoowana launch event

'Dhoombak Goobgoowana: A History of Indigenous Australia and the University of Melbourne: Volume I Truth' will be launched at this invitation only event. A recording will be made available after the event.

Reconciliation Week Seminar: Treaty for Victoria

Staff and students from the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences are invited to join Deputy Dean Indigenous, Professor Sandra Eades, as she moderates an important discussion with four members of the First Peoples Assembly of Victoria on their work establishing a treaty for the Nations of Victoria.

Paint your own boomerang workshop  

Staff and students from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and Melbourne Connect tenants are invited to this fun and creative boomerang painting event. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about Indigenous culture and create a unique keepsake to take home. No artistic skills are required, only an enthusiasm and willingness to learn. A light lunch will be available after the event.

Reconciliation Ceremony

The Queensberry Children’s Centre is hosting a Reconciliation ceremony. All those enrolled at the Centre, from babies to young children, will gather together in support of National Reconciliation Week.
