Narrowing the Digital AI Gap

The world of work is evolving at a rapid pace. Technological advancements are impacting industries, occupations and tasks and redefining the skills we need. Some of the most vulnerable people when it comes to mitigating these transitions are young women.

In response, The Future of Work Lab runs a training program for Year 9 students in partnership with Gladstone Park Secondary College, entitled ‘Narrowing the Digital AI Gap: Training for Young Adults’. The lunchtime STEM skills-building program translates the Future of Work at Work MicroCert series to girls at a critical time in their education trajectory. The five-week training program focuses on understanding artificial intelligence and automation and the nuanced impact that these technological advancements will have on the labour market, industries, skills and tasks.
