Peter Kronborg has extensive experience in management, board and leadership matters. He has served on several boards and advised many more, including CSIRO, BHP Billiton, Council of Australian Governments Reform Council, Medibank Private, Australian Olympic Committee and the Indigenous Land Corporation. Other clients have included resources companies, university councils, major health networks, corporates, SMEs and NFPs.

Professionally, Peter has served on the boards of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Creativity Australia and other organisations. At the University of Melbourne in the 1980s he was President of the Melbourne Business School Alumni. His recent years on the University Alumni Council have involved a significant transformation in the organisation.

Peter commenced his career as a commercial lawyer with Allens Arthur Robinson, then joined Carnation/Nestle, and Coles Myer Ltd in management roles. Subsequently, he joined the world’s premium executive search firm, Egon Zehnder International, then became Managing Partner Melbourne for Korn/Ferry international, the world’s largest executive search firm. Aspiring to create a broader-based strategic leadership services firm, in 2002 he founded Oppeus International, advising on talent, organisation, governance and remuneration. The firm was highly successful and became a BRW ‘Fast 100’ awarded company for its consistent high growth and client service. He sold his equity in 2010 to pursue a more balanced life.

Peter’s current focus is on his board appointments, professional advisory work and investments. He provides advice to leaders and boards on governance, innovation and corporate strategic development as well as mentoring leaders on achieving success.

He is a specialist governance advisor and educator for the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a Fellow of the AICD and of the Institute of Public Administration Australia.
