Dr Mutsa Gumbie
Mutsa is the Market Access Project Manager for medical devices at Johnson & Johnson ANZ and an honorary Research Fellow (health economist) at the Macquarie University Centre for the Health Economy (MUCHE).
Mutsa graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Public Health (Health economics) and completed her PhD in Public Health from Monash University.
Mutsa is passionate about public health, health economics outcomes research and improving patient health outcomes. Mutsa was an executive member of the Australian Health Economics Society (AHES) committee (2017-2020). She is a member of AHES, the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), and the International Health Economics Association (iHEA). Mutsa is also an Editorial Board member of the BMC Public Health journal.
As an alum, Mutsa actively engaged with students at the University through the Melbourne School of Public and Global Health Career Roundtable breakfasts.
Mutsa is committed to adding value to the Alumni Council through her personal experience as an international student as well as her professional experience working in academia and the pharmaceutical industry.
