Dr Maria Dudycz
Council member
MB BS (1987), LLB (Hons) (1993)

Maria Dudycz has extensive experience in contributing to representative organisations including as an inaugural Director of the National Breast Cancer Centre, Chair of the Advisory Panel on Marketing in Australia of Infant Formula (WHO obligation) and Victorian Chair of the Australasian College of Legal Medicine. Along with governance experience, Maria was awarded the inaugural Women's Leadership Scholarship to undertake the Australian Institute of Company Director's Course to upskill on current governance issues facing organisations.

Maria has served as a Senior Member of VCAT and now the Ambassador of Victorian Honour Roll of Women. As an alumna, Maria actively engaged with students at the University through the Welcome to Melbourne program and has mentored students at Melbourne Law School for several years.

Maria would like to see herself adding value to the Alumni Council by extrapolating ideas for Council policies, promotions and activities from her knowledge, insights and skills derived from a culturally diverse, low socioeconomic background; her University experience in attaining degrees in Medicine and Law (Honours) and her experience in the Government and medical sectors.
