MDAP and Digital Studio’s new HASS Taskforce is here to help researchers bridge the gap between learning basic or single-tool digital skills and having the knowledge to develop high-quality research proposals using digital HASS methods.
We are moving towards a demand-driven offering of workshops. Follow this Qualtrics link to request what training you want/need! Open to all UoM researchers (graduate students and academics), as well as research support staff.

Upcoming training
All our training sessions are listed on the Researcher Development Events Portal. If you have bespoke data or digital-related training needs for your staff or graduate research students, please reach out to us to discuss options at hass-taskforce@unimelb.edu.au
Past workshops have included Introduction to APIs, small sessions on specific APIs (e.g., Spotify API), Omeka bulk upload, Constellate, Data Visualisation (both theory and hands-on), TLCMap, web scraping, OpenRefine, and Python for Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.

Other initiatives
We are actively developing an online interactive catalogue of digital tools for HASS researchers. You can check out our work in progress here, and we will be embedding this tool into the Digital Studio website once ready. Please share your feedback with us at hass-taskforce@unimelb.edu.au!
