Web publishing templates
Note that the information in this section may refer to the old version of the templates. Changes are being made progressively.

A new version of the University web templates for Dreamweaver/html was released on May 9, 2007. The new templates feature updated design, code and accessibility, but follow on from the recommendations and strategies adopted in the earlier templates.
Using the web templates will:
- support University branding
- ensure a consistent look and feel across all University web pages
- allow webpages to meet best practice usability and accessibility standards
- include the mandatory standards prescribed in web publishing policy
- improve site management and maintenance
ISC endorsed the recommendation that implementation of the new templates and associated web policies be compulsory for all University web pages (but noting that this does not include subject and course content pages). Consequently, organisational units should comply with the new templates and associated policies when they next undertake a redevelopment of their site. In accordance with best-practice standards, it is recommended that University web sites are reviewed and updated at least once a year.
