Web responsibilities and roles: authorisation

Being accountable to the University for the development, resourcing and management of web site/s.

Being accountable for the legality of the published web site.

Typical skills required

The following skills would be beneficial to a staff member performing Approval tasks:

  • High- level decision making power
  • Strategic understanding of web context/content
  • Delegation skills

Typical current role

In the present University environment, the following positions and/or hybrids of, would already be taking ownership of the above responsibilities:

  • Faculty General Manager

  • Head of Department

  • Middle Manager
