Character entities

Character and symbol entity references provide a method of entering characters into a html page where the character cannot be expressed in the document's character encoding or that cannot easily be entered on a keyboard.

Use the following tables to find the correct character entity name or number.


ISO-8859-1 (Latin-1) Characters (codes from 0-127)

The lower part of the ISO-8859-1 (Latin-1) character set represented in this table can be used without a character reference.
