Privacy Policy
The University of Melbourne Privacy Policy details how the University deals with personal and health information it collects to ensure that it complies with the Information Privacy Act 2000 (VIC) and the Health Records Act 2001 (VIC). In the privacy policy a reference to 'information' is a reference to both health information and personal information.

The University's Privacy Officer is the University Secretary Ms Janet White. She has overall responsibility for privacy issues but privacy is an important issue for all staff.

This should be done within a reasonable period from the time the individual first becomes aware of the breach of the Privacy Policy. The complainant should identify the conduct that is the basis for the complaint, which Privacy Principle they believe has been breached and be as specific as possible about the details of the grievance.
There are no fees for lodging a complaint with the University.
