CASUAL VACANCIES

There remain 6 casual vacancies following the election. There is also a casual vacancy in Arts following the resignation of a current member of the Committee.

According to the Standing Orders of the Committee of Convocation, elections to casual vacancies are held as soon as practicable at a meeting of the Committee declared to be a special meeting for the purpose of conducting the election. [Other business may be conducted at the meeting providing notice of such business is provided 21 days before the meeting].

The President of Convocation has declared the meeting on 19 March 2008 the special election meeting.

Music & VCA	1 x two-year term
Economics & Commerce	2 x four-year term
Science	1 x four-year term; 1 x two-year term
Education	1 x two-year term
Arts	1 x two-year term

According to Standing Order F4 nominations must be in writing and must be signed by two members of the Committee.
