Eligibility: Students enrolled in the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Veterinary Science. The scholarship is to enable the recipient to travel either in order to present research at an international conference or to engage in laboratory research.
Special Conditions: Preference may be given to students undertaking research in the fields of parasitology, microchemistry, molecular biology or innovation in science. Recipients of the scholarship must provide a written report to the Veterinary Research and Graduate Studies Committee.

Veterinary Clinical and Paraclinical Science Barrenger Overseas Veterinary Scholarships
Donor: Mrs Jessie Margory Barrenger, who died on 24 June 1970, bequeathed the sum of $28,000 to be held upon Trust in perpetuity by her trustees, now ANZ Trustees, and Mr D.A. Craven to provide for the promotion and encouragement of postgraduate studies overseas in either Veterinary Clinical or Paraclinical Sciences. The net income of the fund will be applied in maintaining Scholarships to be called the Barrenger Overseas Veterinary Scholarships.
Eligibility: University of Melbourne graduates in Veterinary Science.
Selection Criteria: Information not supplied.
Special Conditions: Particular Scholarships will be advertised from time to time and will be awarded for one year. However, the selection committee for the Scholarships may at its discretion extend this term for such period as it thinks fit.
